At our Detroit Bridal Shop, alterations are reserved exclusively for gowns purchased with us, ensuring every bride receives a seamless, personalized experience from beginning to end.

We proudly offer in-house alterations, performed by a seamstress who works directly with our designer gowns every single day. Because we know our fabrics, construction, and design details intimately, your dress never leaves our care. Brides can avoid transporting their gown to a third-party location—where it may not be insured or handled with the same level of attention. Instead, your dress is stored safely, fully insured, and professionally monitored throughout the entire process.

We take ownership from the moment your gown is ordered. By sizing as close as possible and using designer customization options when available, we help minimize unnecessary alteration costs and ensure a smoother, more cost-effective experience. Most brides will require 2–3 fittings, with an additional 1–2 for custom work. Alterations typically begin 3 months before your wedding date, and your seamstress will provide a detailed quote during your pinning and consultation.
